Lake Superior Youth Chorus is a non-profit community arts organization providing artistic vocal training and performance opportunities for youth in the greater-Duluth area.

The Lake Superior Youth Chorus (LSYC), now in its 20th year, seeks to provide vocal training and performance opportunities for young people in grades 3-10. The Youth Chorus helps youth from all walks of life discover their voices and develop their gifts. LSYC performs music of a variety of musical styles and historic periods, and promotes cultural understanding through song.
In addition to three annual concerts, our two ensembles; Choristers and Concert Choir, perform throughout the community at events such as the Nutcracker, the Tall Ships Festival, and the University of Minnesota Duluth's opera, Hansel and Gretel.
We are also pleased to announce Prelude, an introductory choral experience for 3rd through 5th graders beginning early 2013.

- Provide singers with the opportunity to develop their vocal gifts through musical understanding and self-expression.
- Promote the highest level of musical artistry, performing great music of various styles and historic periods.
- Value the positive social interactions the singers experience as a part of a successful team.
- Encourage parental involvement as we cultivate a positive image of youth and music in our community.
- Value the inclusion of interested singers of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds from throughout the area.
We all start at different places. We all develop at different rates. Our goal is to help singers improve so that they have more opportunities and resources with which to make great music. We will help them do so by placing them in the group that we feel best fits their vocal development and will best contribute to their musical growth and development.
