GRACE YOUNG

DIRECTOR, CONCERT CHOIR

Ms. Grace Young graduated from The College of St. Scholastica in 2021 with degrees in Vocal Music Education and Psychology. During her undergraduate career, Ms. Young was an active choir member and section leader for The College of St. Scholastica’s select treble ensemble, Bella Voce, and The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra Chorus. She was also a featured soloist in Twin Ports Choral Project’s production of “Considering Matthew Shepard”.

This is Ms. Young’s second year directing Concert Choir. She is also involved in LSYC’s outreach programs as an instructor for Summer Sing and Prelude. This year, Ms. Young is excited to be taking over LSYC’s Voice Lesson Program. In addition to her involvement with LSYC, Ms. Young directs the choirs at Robert J. Elkington Middle School in Grand Rapids, MN.

Ms. Young was recognized for her work with the Lake Superior Youth Chorus in 2020 when she was awarded the Jerry Kaldor Outstanding Service Award. In 2021, she was awarded a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement by The College of St. Scholastica’s Music Department.
