Rylee Newton

Recently named a Jerry Kaldor Outstanding Service Award recipient, Ms. Rylee Newton prioritizes high quality education and accessibility in all she does. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Ms. Newton has consistently worked as an intern for the Lake Superior Youth Chorus. In addition to her internship responsibilities, she works as a summer camp instructor and an outreach program instructor for the organization. In recent months, Ms. Newton has collaborated to develop an outreach curriculum suitable for a safe experience in the midst of a pandemic, and is currently working to create virtual programming for students at home.
In 2019, Ms. Newton began her work as a Choral Scholar at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary. She is an active member of both the American Choral Directors Association and the National Association for Music Education. As a senior Vocal Music Education student at the College of St. Scholastica, Ms. Newton enjoys singing in the Concert Choir and Bella Voce choral ensembles as well as studying voice with Dr. Jennifer Lien.
