EMMA DOWNING

Ms. Emma Downing is in her fourth and final year at The University of Minnesota-Duluth where she is pursuing a degree in Vocal Music Education. This is her first year as an intern with LSYC, and she couldn't be more excited! At UMD, she sings in the auditioned ensemble University Singers where she has spent the last two years serving in various officer positions and is currently a soprano section leader. She is also involved in the Vocal Jazz ensembles and the Piano Studio. Ms. Downing is an active member of UMD's chapter of the American Choral Directors Association and is the current chapter President. Outside of making music, Ms. Downing enjoys running and hiking, reading, cooking, and crafting! She is thrilled to grow as a musician and educator during her time with LSYC, and is looking forward to a fantastic season.
