RYLEE NEWTON

Ms. Rylee Newton is the choir teacher at Superior Middle School in Superior, WI, where she has the pleasure of working with over 300 students each year. Her connection to the Lake Superior Youth Chorus began during her time as a Music Intern, and she now holds the role of Outreach Coordinator for the organization. In this capacity, she oversees three key programs - Prelude, Summer Sing, and Honor Choir - and directs the beginner ensemble, Choristers.

A 2021 graduate of The College of St. Scholastica with a degree in Music Education, Ms. Newton has been recognized for her dedication and service. She received the Jerry Kaldor Outstanding Service Award from Lake Superior Youth Chorus in 2020 and was named the Minnesota State Student Employee of the Year in 2021. Her passion for music and community has only deepened during her time in the Twin Ports region. Ms. Newton remains grateful for the opportunity to share in the musical journey of her students and to help expand access to high-quality choral music education for all.
